Jack Run 2022; Another Heart-pounding Adventure

The Starship Enterprise

Finally, off on another rolling adventure:

I started doing this invitational endurance event in 2007. Really looking forward to another run with Larry and Ties who are a pair of very skilled riders. Of the 8 countries that I have ridden motorcycles in, Larry & I have travelled together through 7 of them and Larry, Ties and myself have burned up the pavement in 6 countries together (actually, its more like burned up the tires 🤣. The most km we have done on this run was 2,950km in just over a weekend. We were a bit younger then.

The Starship Enterprise is pretty well ready for side-stand-up tomorrow morning. Full fuel tank, oil changed, tire pressure checked, operational equipment tested, communications upgraded, charged and tested, most of the gear loaded, sat-com system tested.

For those of you who don’t know the Enterprise, there is a lot of gear on the K1600GTL, Sat-com system, ham radio, cb radio, emergency strobe lights, VIO POV hard-mount camera, retroreflective covering on rear facing surfaces, 2 additional sets of rear signal lights, 3 stobing brake light systems, etc. So one day someone said that the GTL has more ”stuff” than the Starship Enterprise…..from that moment the name just stuck.

So, time to do a few things around the RV before I leave. Check back here to see what tomorrow’s adventure brought us.
