Another early start. We had questioned whether we should stay for the long week-end at Davy Lake but then had decided we would stay at the next stop for a few days. So we expected lots of traffic.
This didn’t happen. It was surprisingly quiet on the highways. I think I counted about 30 RVs on the 5.30 hr drive. From Ignace we passed through Upsala, Raith, Kaministiqua, waved at Thunderbay in the distance, and headed a bit north through Nipigon
(which has the smallest Canadian Tire Store in Canada) and stopped at Wild Goose Lake Campground about 20 km from Geraldton.
Except around Lake Superior, the drive was mainly though tree lined roads. Again our campsite has a wonderful view of the lake. We discovered that the ice on the lake just went out a couple of days earlier and there are still little piles of snow and ice around. I found this surprising as Geraldton would be the equivalent of about 4 hours south of Edmonton. The wind was nippy and the temperature was around 6.
glad to see your travels…..keep safe….and enjoying “your” adventures
Great to see you on. Once we get to the east end of the country we will do a little more in depth of the places we visit. Big goal now is to just there.
